The Lincolnshire Handicap (later referred to as the Lincoln Handicap) was held on the West Common from 1853 till 1964 - after which the Lincoln Handicap moved to Doncaster. The Grandstand was built in 1896. People watched horses racing past in the19th and 20th centuries .....
